Meet the Candidates

I will be making a personal appearance (!) at tonight's gathering at the Crystal VFW (5222 Bass Lake Road) at 7 pm. Featured are two of the eleven District School Board candidates, neither an incumbent.

One is "Status Quo Must Go" Andrew Richter, the other "Wise and Creative Financial Oversight" Jim Oathout.

I'm also planning to attend the Thursday, October 22nd candidate forum presented by the League of Women Voters, 7 pm at the Winnetka Learning Center (3138 Winnetka Ave N).

I almost wish I wasn't taking advantage of the RAS "5 day" weekend. I mean how can you go wrong with beer, creative financials and the status quo must go chant. It sounds like a rousing good time. Take good notes!!!!

There were about a dozen people at the VFW. I think I did learn enough about these two candidates, wish the third in attendance (Mark Bomchill) had been on the dais.

Correction - your info on the League of Women Voters forum seems to have come from a less than reliable source (which has partially fixed this error). As stated by the LWV and a number of candidates' websites, the forum will be held at the Education Service Center, 4148 Winnetka Ave N at 7 pm.
